You Season 3 Story
In Season 3, Joe and Love live as a married couple with their newborn son in a suburb called Madre Linda.
Despite having a family, Joe still takes interest in their next-door neighbor, Natalie. She is married to a successful CEO and is a stepmom to the teen-aged Theo. However, in a feat of jealousy, Love kills Natalie.
After a wild turn of events, Theo gets closer to Love – even kissing and hooking up with her. Joe knows about this but he doesn’t care as he is still not over his obsession with other women.
Meanwhile, Joe gets into a budding romance with Marienne – a single mother and librarian who struggles with personal problems.
But again, as Love does anything and everything to keep Joe away from other women, Marienne and her daughter fearfully decide to flee the suburbs.
In the unexpected season finale, the toxic relationship comes to a tragedy when Joe kills Love. He abandons his son to a co-worker and sets the house on fire. The deadly breakup pushes Joe to start a new life in Paris.
The upcoming sequel will pick up after the twists and turns of Season 3, which ends with Joe going on the run again, only this time – he is the one being followed by a stalker.
According to Badgley, Season 4 will be quite different as it might be more about Joe’s relationship with himself. Because this isn’t really a show about a murderer, this is a show about… I think it’s taking the mistakes that we make in relationships to the extreme for the sake of a good story.”
Writer of the show, Sera Gamble, also shared that Joe will also deal with his act of abandoning his son Henry and how “it will shape him from this moment forward”.
