Secret Invasion Story

Secret Invasion Nick Fury

The Secret Invasion plot dates back to when Nick Fury has been associated with the Skrulls since the story of Captain Marvel.

With his great trust in the only non-hostile non-Earth creatures he knows of, Fury asked the leader of the Skrulls – Talos, to travel to Earth and impersonate him.

At the movie ending credits of Spiderman: Far from Home, it was seen that the Nick Fury who met with Peter Parker is actually Talos.

However, a faction of hostile Skrulls slowly invades S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as the Avengers, with the intent to take control of the world.

Marvel’s promotional tagline for the series, “Who do you trust?”, captures the show’s premise of the infiltration by the impostors.

The TV series will tackle Fury’s return to Earth and his efforts to save the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization.

Kevin Feige, the main architect for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said that the TV series will showcase more of the political paranoia elements of the comic book, rather than matching the scope of the story in terms of the number of characters featured or its impact in the wider universe.

Don Cheadle also shared about Secret Invasion: “there’s a part that kicks off what happens in Armor Wars” in the MCU.

Armor Wars will feature what would happen if Tony Stark’s technologies fall into the wrong hands. It is reported that the movie will be starred by Don’s character, James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine.
