Only Murders In The Building Season 3 Story

Only Murders In The Building TV Show

Only Murders In The Building tells the story of three residents of the affluent Manhattan apartment building, ‘Arconia’, who share interests in true crime podcasts.

Our three main characters: former TV actor Charles Haden-Savage, Broadway director Oliver Putnam, and young artist Mabel Mora decided to team up to investigate when one of the tenants was murdered.

They then started their own podcast called, “Only Murders In The Building” where they try to solve the crime. Later on, the podcast gained popularity and attention from the public, other residents, and even the police.

It was found out that the victim was Mabel’s childhood friend whom she had a dark past with. Through the interconnected stories, we were made to believe that Mabel was the killer of it all (she is not).

At the end of the season, while they were able to catch the culprit, the trio ended up being the persons of interest over the killing of Arconia’s board president in Season 2.

Charles, especially, becomes the focus of the police investigation as the last words of the victim were “14 Savage”. However, the other two were also implicated in being connected to the case.

With lots of twists and turns, the trio was able to expose the murderer through a killer reveal party.

In Season 2’s penultimate episode, the closing scenes showed that one year has passed since their lives were changed.

The main characters are seated in the audience of a Broadway show when suddenly, an actor named Ben Glenroy, dies on stage leaving the trio stunned and us with more exciting content for Season 3.

Only Murders In The Building is a whodunnit murder mystery show that combines fictional crime with comedy.

Only Murders In The Building TV Series

After the surprise cameo of Paul Rudd as Ben Glenroy in the finale episode of Only Murders In The Building Season 2, fans quickly asked if he would be returning for the next season.

As the victims usually appear in flashbacks, this might just confirm that Paul Rudd is almost certainly reprising his role as Ben.

Joining Rudd and the cast is Jesse Williams, one of the stars of the popular hit TV series, Grey’s Anatomy. He will play a documentarian who is interested in the case that the podcasters are working on.

In the past, celebrities such as Amy Schumer, Cara Delevingne, and Shirley Maclaine were also cast in the show giving it an interesting spin. We are sure to expect that more actors will be added to the sequel in the following days.

Only Murders in the Building creator John Hoffman also told Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming story for Season 3.

“Season 1 was really centered around a Mabel story, and then Charles and his father emotionally led season 2 in many ways, so it feels right to lean into Oliver a bit more and his dream of a potential comeback,” Hoffman said.

He added, “This season will catch us up on “what happened in that year jump, and where are they when we join them in Season 3 around this new problem they have.”
