The mega-hit Amazon Prime Video cartoon series, Invincible, is set to return soon! Here’s everything we know so far on the series release date, trailer, story, and news.
Following the release of the finale episode of Season 1 on April 29, 2021, Amazon announced that Invincible will be renewed for a second and third season.
Based on the American comic book created by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the story revolves around a teenage superhero known as “Invincible” who’s learning to navigate through his inherited superpowers.
The series is animated and produced by Wind Sun Sky Entertainment and its partner company, Skybound North.

Invincible Season 2 Release Date
After almost two years of waiting since the announcement of the reboot of the series, fans have been asking about the release date of the next season.
In an interview with Vernon Sanders, Head of Television at Amazon Studios, he confirmed that we can expect to see Invincible Season 2 in 2023.
While there is no exact date for the premiere of the series, we are certain that Invincible will return sometime in 2023.

Invincible Season 2 Trailer
The official trailer for Invincible Season 2 has yet to be released. The Amazon Studios and other official pages of the series have not yet announced concrete details about the second season.
The show will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video and is available worldwide, except for Mainland China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Syria.

Invincible Season 2 Story
Invincible follows the story of Mark Grayson, the teenage son of “Omni-Man”, the most powerful superhero on Earth.
Always wanting to be a superhero himself, Mark feels that his powers will never develop and that he will just be an ordinary human like her mother – Debbie.
In an unexpected turn of events, Omni-Man kills his superhero team, the “Guardians of the Globe” and pretends that he is not the culprit.
The Global Defense Agency could not suspect the superhero as he was injured at the scene and brought to the hospital. That’s when Mark finally gains his superpowers.
After recovery, Omni-Man trains his son to become the ultimate superhero called Invincible. Unaware of being a murderer, Mark is still amazed by his father’s abilities.
Meanwhile, Debbie found out about Omni-Man’s killing spree and decides to inform the agency.
During Mark’s out-of-town trip with his college friends, chaos ensued as Omni-Man kills a high-ranking official of the Global Defense Agency and Debbie was forced out of their house. Mark arrives to save his father but was stupefied to find out what happened.
Omni-Man later revealed that he is from the Viltrum Empire which plans to expand its territories on Earth. He was sent to the world to finish off superheroes that might come their way.
He persuades Mark that he has the Viltrum blood and that they should join forces in pursuit of the empire’s goal. However, hearing this vicious plan, Mark revolts and fights his dad.
As he was about to kill his son, Omni-Man remembers his fatherly love for Mark and loses the fierce battle. Knowing that he is already growing human feelings, Omni-Man decides to leave the planet forever.
At the end of Season 1, we see Invincible train with the new Guardians of the Globe and prepare himself for the Viltrumite attack.
In Season 2, we expect that the story will revolve around the battle between the superheroes and the Viltrum Empire. Fans are anticipating the return of Omni-Man and which side he will choose.

Invincible Season 2 News
Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) confirms that hewill reprise his role as the voice actor of Mark Grayson / Invincible. He started voice rendering for the second season in April 2022.
Another cast member returning is J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) as Nolan Grayson / Omni-Man.
With this update, the producers are already informing the public that it may take a while for the recordings and animations to be completed.
Nevertheless, Yeun excitingly shared the news brought by Robert Kirman that Season 2 will be “bonkers” and “better than the last”.
